How does a semantic search work?

A semantic search interprets the entered text to find content in the database that closely matches its meaning.

A semantic search works best using whole phrases rather than individual words. For example, entering "The warming of the ocean has dramatic consequences" will return phrases similar to your query and direct you to relevant texts.

If you type in a question like "What floats in the sea?", the search will look for similarly formulated questions and bring you closer to the answers you need.
